What B Corp™ certification means to us
We recently announced a significant achievement in our commitment towards sustainability and social responsibility – in case you missed it, APC Cardiovascular has officially achieved B CorpTM certification!
The ‘B’ in B Corp stands for Benefit, and becoming B Corp certified is all about proving our dedication to transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.
Through a comprehensive evaluation process, APC Cardiovascular demonstrated our adherence to B Corp’s high standards, earning an impressive overall score of 97.5 on the B Impact Assessment.
So, what does B Corp certification mean to us?
As part of the B Corp community, APC Cardiovascular has signed the B Corp declaration of interdependence. It states: “We envision a global economy that uses business as a force for good. This economy is comprised of a new type of corporation – the B Corporation – which is purpose-driven and creates benefit for all stakeholders, not just shareholders.
“As B Corporations and leaders of this emerging economy, we believe: that we must be the change we seek in the world. That all business ought to be conducted as if people and place matter. That, through their products, practices, and profits, businesses should aspire to do no harm and benefit all. To do so requires that we act with the understanding that we are each dependent upon another and thus responsible for each other and future generations.”
Our B Corp certification adds an extra layer of meaning to our mission.
