Highlights from the Heart Rhythm Congress 2024

APC Cardiovascular attended the Heart Rhythm Congress (HRC) 2024!  

Held from October 6th to 8th, it was an extraordinary event that brought together over 2,200 healthcare professionals from around the globe.  

Hosted at the International Conference Centre in Birmingham, the congress provided a unique platform for sharing knowledge and advancing research in the field of arrhythmia care.  

To kick off the congress, APC Cardiovascular and CNSystems also hosted an exclusive pre-conference dinner focused on syncope, titled “Syncope Unveiled: Modern Methods for Diagnosis.” 

Highlights from HRC 2024 

With over 95 hours of cutting-edge presentations, HRC 2024 showcased a wealth of knowledge shared by experts in cardiology, nursing, and physiology. The congress provided a diverse array of sessions, making it the only conference in the UK that unites such a broad spectrum of healthcare professionals dedicated to improving arrhythmia care. 

For those particularly interested in syncope, the sessions by STARS Symposia on October 7th were a must-attend, featuring internationally recognised experts who covered various topics, including: 

  • Syncope and Society 
  • Physiology and Mimics of Syncope 
  • POTS and PASC (Long Covid 
  • Cardioneuroablation 

These sessions offered deep insights and sparked crucial discussions for healthcare professionals dealing with syncope and arrhythmia. 

Syncope insights at pre-conference dinner 

On the evening of October 6th, healthcare professionals specialising in syncope gathered for a pre-conference dinner hosted by APC Cardiovascular and CNSystems.  

The event, held at the Crowne Plaza, set the tone for the congress, with attendees enjoying a three-course meal accompanied by a series of insightful presentations.  

The evening featured key topics including the latest advancements in syncope diagnostics, particularly the Italian protocol, which has shown significant improvements in the efficiency and accuracy of syncope assessments.  

Participants also had the chance to explore a groundbreaking innovation in the field: the first cuff-less, patch-based 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitor.
